Vehicle details, claims, and maintenance for drivers

Vehicle Claim

If the driver has an active vehicle contract, you can access the:

Contracts → Claim tab functions from this screen.

If the driver has more than one contract available:

  • Select the required contract from the Contract list in the Header area.

Vehicle Events

If the driver has an active vehicle contract, you can access the:

Contracts → Events tab functions from this screen.

If the driver has more than one contract available:

  • Select the required contract from the Contract list in the Header area.

Vehicle Maintenance

If the driver has an active vehicle contract, you can access the:

Contracts → Maintenance tab functions from this screen.

If the driver has more than one contract available:

  • Select the required contract from the Contract list in the Header area.

Driver Password

When a driver’s password is first created:

  • It is set to the registration number of the driver’s most recent vehicle contract.

Drivers can access the password screen via:

System → Change Password

Internal Password Reset (Drivers)

Internal users can reset a driver’s password by:

  • Updating the Drivers → Contact → Access checkbox.

When reset this way:

  • The password is reverted to the registration number of the driver’s most recent contract.

Data Update Notes (Drivers)

When creating users or resetting passwords on the Drivers screen:

An entry is written to gbeventlog with:

  • eventtypeid = 3

  • Stored userid

When access is reactivated


Driver Vehicle Details

This screen is available in the Driver Portal and is hidden by default.

Access requires activation of the relevant configuration option.


Vehicle Selection Logic

When Vehicle Details is clicked:

  • The user record is checked for the number of vehicles linked.

If the user has more than one vehicle:

  • They are navigated to the Choose Car screen.

  • They select the vehicle to view.

If the user has only one vehicle:

  • It is selected automatically.

When a vehicle record is selected:

  • The user is taken to the Vehicle Details screen for that record.

A selection list is available to switch between:

  • Active vehicles

  • Suspended vehicles

All fields on this screen are:

  • Display-only

  • Not editable

Date the vehicle registration expires

Name of the vehicle’s insurer

Insurance Policy Number

Insurance Policy Due Date

Date

Date the insurance policy is due for renewal

Roadside Supplier

Display

Name of the roadside assistance provider
