Dealer Quote Request

The Dealer Quote Request is generated from the Quotes / Vehicle tab. PDF and Office (XLSX) outputs are available. It can be printed or emailed to the “Preferred Dealer” recorded on the quote.

Most form fields are self-explanatory and often use the same field names. To get the full list of available placeholders, an admin user can print the “Field List” CSV from the output list box.

Not all placeholders are listed below, as there are 490 available. The following are key Dealer Quote Request placeholders that require calculations or whose descriptions do not match screen names.

Selected Placeholders

Most form fields are self-explanatory and often use the same field names.

Below are some of the placeholders available for this form. To view all placeholders, print the field list.

  • {account_manager} — Full name of Quotes/Contracts “A/C Manager”

  • {channel} — If the linked Clients / MLA “Channel Code” is populated, returns the Channels / Contact “Channel”

  • {channel_code} — If the linked Clients / MLA “Channel Code” is populated, returns the Channels / Contact “Channel Code”

  • {colourrequested} — Updated only when accepting a quote; stores originally requested colour preference. On quote acceptance, colour and requestedcolour are identical. Editing the contract colour does not update colour_requested.

  • {comments} — Returns the value in the “Pricing Comments” field (below “Preferred Dealer”)

  • {comments_internal} — Returns the value in the “Internal Comments” field

  • {comments_quote} — Returns the value in the “Quote Comments” field

  • {discount_status} — Discount status from Quotes / Vehicle “Discount Status” field

  • {garaging_address} — Location field from Quotes / Contract

  • {manufacturermodelcode} — Uses the value from {new_used}

  • {opportunity_number} — Returns the value in the Opportunity No. field

  • {price_comment} — Returns the value in the “Comments” field (below “FBT Value”)

  • {registrationbyuse} — Looks up Contract Type – Group. If the group is “Novated” then this is shown as “Private”, otherwise “Business”

There is placeholder used to insert a HTML email signature in the email template called logoemailsignature_markup. Do not use this placeholder as it corrupts .xlsx and .xml template files and outputs will not work.

Email Set-up

The email is stored where name = 'pdfdealerquote_request'. It may be hard-coded for some older clients.

The Quotes / Contract “Assigned” user can be added as a CC or BCC recipient in gbtemplaterecipients.

The sender is usually the user who launches the email. If their email address is malformed, the system will fall back to the stored email address.

Delivery Confirmation

The Delivery Confirmation form is generated from the Contracts / Order tab.

Most placeholders have the same names as field names.
